Mississippi’s best parks
With the holiday weekend approaching, many people are looking for a fun, affordable way to get outdoors and enjoy the last of the summer weather. Here are our picks for the top three parks in Mississippi.
This park in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains features a 13-mile trail system, float trips down the river, and some of the best natural beauty our state has to offer.
Located at the Sardis Reservoir, this park features swimming, boating, and some amazing fishing, including catfish, crappie, bass, and bream. If fishing isn’t your thing, you might enjoy golfing at the 18-hole Mallard Pointe Golf Course.
One of our state’s first parks, Percy Quin State Park has mild weather, a lake stocked with fish for anglers, and ample opportunities for hiking and mountain biking in the park’s rolling woodlands.
