Get Fit with Your Date
Don’t believe me? You sweat during sex, right? So why not sweat together while you work up another kind of physical appetite? This is a great opportunity for you to establish some friendly banter or even competition, be kind to your heart, and really have a good time together all at once. If you and your date both enjoy sports, the outdoors, or even pumping iron, why not incorporate that into your time with one another? Here are just a few ideas…
Play your favorite sport. It’s spring, so it’s much easier to find a place to shoot some hoops, play football or baseball (or even waffle ball if that’s your thing), or just run together. Try hitting the park before school lets out (if you can) for a public spot that’s still intimate enough for talking while you walk or play a sport. Many parks also have volleyball or tennis courts, swimming pools, and other cheap or inexpensive equipment you can use. Like golf (even putt putt golf)? It’s the perfect time of year for that, as well. And in my humble opinion, it’s always a good time to hit the batting cages!
Hit the gym. Share your gym with your date, or have him or her take you to his or her favorite place to work out. Maybe you can both try the new community recreation complex together, or even hit a water park that allows you to get both fun and physical. Many YMCAs will also give you a free tour; pose as a couple to see what you can do for one evening!
Hit the trails. Go hiking together in the great outdoors. Pack a picnic lunch, bring a camera, and make some long lasting memories while you breathe in all that fresh air, move your body, and get to really know one another. You can stop as often or as little as you wish to take in nature, or you could make it a race to see whose competitive side will win.
Share your favorites. Maybe you’re in a salsa dancing class, or you take scuba diving lessons. These physical activities are also fun to share with a partner, and many classes allow you to bring a friend for free once. Use your pass for your date and introduce him or her to something brand new. You could always just stream a workout video on Netflix together, but where is the adventure in that?
